Tokyo – Haneda Airport

The airport started to operate in 1931. It’s currently one of the biggest airports in Japan.
It is famous for its cleanliness, excellent organization and interesting architecture. Three terminals, one of them being international, contain a six-story restaurant, a shopping mall, conference room and a gigantic observation deck where you can sit in an open-air café. The airport can also boast of a hotel with 387 rooms. Well-equipped bathrooms sparkle with modernity and cleanliness. There are changing rooms for parents with little children that need to change a diaper. The airport provides also a first aid station and a dentist’s.
The entire airport is adjusted to the needs of people in wheelchairs. They can use complimentary transportation between and at the terminals. There are also designated parking spots for the disabled.

State-of-art, minimalistic architecture goes in line with traditional decorative elements. The vast spaces do not overwhelm – wood, easy and soft chairs, lamps or flowers add up to the place being comfortable and cozy.
